Its too light

Unlike night time astrophotography where you sit in the dark cool nights, photographing the sun is the complete opposite.

While you need light for photography you are on light overload with Solar photography. You have to face the sun and seeing becomes difficult and imaging becomes difficult

As you have to focus off the computer screen doing this outside becomes a big problem with light reflecting off the screen therefore you have to cover the screen somehow.

While you can buy screen covers from Amazon (£60-£80  (iCap® MID PRO Notebooktent Outdoor Protection against: Amazon.co.uk: Camera & Photo )or other to save money you can use a cardboard box. We have loads coming through the post from amazon so just wait until you can get one big enough so the computer can fit inside with the screen raised. A hole can be made in the corner for the power lead.

So one part of it solved, your eyes will still struggle to see to focus on the screen so you then need to cover your head with a dark towel. This reduces the light but you will still have to adjust the focus knob on the telescope while looking on the screen to see the effect.

Also wear dark clothing as lighter clothing will reflect in the screen

So both need to be close together at a height that you can see so a table or high seat is required and a further seat for yourself.

You just need a set up that works for you , imaging the sun is a lot quicker than imaging at night so you might not be out hours.
