Etalons- problem cleared up by Lunt

After a lot of conflicting information on a number of forums about having a factory matched Etalons, i received this email direct from Lunt

Double Stack units (2^nd etalons) can be purchased at any time and added onto your telescope. For the LS60THa telescope, both the LS50FHa and LS60FHa will couple naturally, attaching to the front objective via thread. It would not be necessary to return your LS60THa telescope to the factor or vendor in order to purchase the double stack unit.

So that clears up the main problem for me and others. Maybe was a ploy to get you to go to certain sellers.

I have ordered the Solarscope and other bits, just waiting for a delivery date from Rothervalley Optics in Sheffield. They have priced matched a few things and overall come in with a good price and free delivery to Shetland

I continue to miss some good observing days which are not too common in Shetland. We have however, also had snow on a couple of days and its been very cold during the day.

The days continue to draw out and by next month we shall have 22 hours daylight, this is simmer dim

Must say that if you are new to Solar viewing or imaging make sure you join Stargazers Lounge and Solar chat, both forums are extremely helpful and lots of good info to read up about before you make a decision or buy a scope
